We are looking for someone from Sundays 11 am to Monday morning 7 am. They will be taking care of the home. They will be helping our grandmother with breakfast, showering, medication set up, massage and pain wellness. During the down time where she naps they will be required to keep the house tidy. They will help her with lunch and dinner as well as accompany her during the night ensuring she doesn’t fall while using the washroom etc. Our grandmother is looking for a companion. The assignment will commence immediately, with a required work schedule from Monday to Friday, covering mornings, mid-days, and evenings. This role will involve numerous responsibilities including assistance with Dressing, Grooming, Toileting, Housekeeping, Laundry, Grocery Shopping, Meal Planning and Preparation, as well as supervising the home. Other tasks include Errands, Bathroom Cleaning, Assistance with Walking, Vacuuming, Escorting to Appointments, and planning visits, outings, and trips. Bathing Assistance will also be part of the duties. The ideal candidate holds expertise or is willing to work with Incontinence (diapers), Dementia, Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, and Arthritis. A driver's license is not obligatory for this role. While the position may accommodate both live-in and live-out arrangements, a live-in caregiver is preferred. The working hours range between 20 - 30 hours per week. This is a full-time role that requires dedication and commitment to providing excellent care. High-level support for transfers, specifically getting in and out of the shower. Incontinence Care: Managing daytime and nighttime diaper changes and related lower-body clothing changes. Hygiene: Assistance with showering, oral care reminders, and grooming. Medical: Medication administration and management. Household & Environmental Support Meal planning and preparation tailored to the couple's dietary needs. Regular cleaning, tidying of living spaces, and laundry services. Constant monitoring to prevent falls or wandering, ensuring a secure environment at all hours. Caregivers must be experienced in Dementia Care, Safe Patient Transfer techniques, and Incontinence Management.

Since admission in hospital just about total of three weeks last year December 2024 he was diagnosed with lung lesion and bladder retention, has been discharged, home and has low energy and somewhat frail, but still can manage to walk and climbs stairs, has a catheter in place and has been diagnosed with lesion in his lung (most likely lung cancer), lives with 85 year-old wife, who mostly is caring for him and she is very tired and has her own health issues.
