I am in search of a dedicated and compassionate individual who can serve as a Health Care aide to help meet my health needs. This is a full-time job that requires services from Monday to Saturday mornings each week. The expected work hours per week will range from 30 to 40, and the ideal candidate should be available to start immediately. Being a live-in position, the selected candidate will live with me and provide necessary assistance, while being sensitive to my needs and respecting my privacy. The job involves a variety of responsibilities which often require physically strenuous tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to heavy patient lifting, and transfer, assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and Hoyer Lift. The candidate will also be responsible for providing Palliative Care and performing range-of-motion exercises. Apart from these, other responsibilities include general housekeeping duties such as cleaning the bathroom, washing dishes by hand, vacuuming, etc. Moreover, the carer should be able to plan and prepare meals, run errands, plan visits and outings, and escort me to appointments. Since I require assistance with incontinence (diapers) and quad/paraplegic care, I am looking for someone who is comfortable with, or has experience in, these areas. Due to the nature of the job and to allow for more efficient commuting, a valid driver's license may be required. The family can provide a car to be used for job-related purposes, which can facilitate transportation, particularly for planned outings and visits.
