Caregiver/Attendant
Helllo! I am a university student with a physical disability, I'm seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver/attendant to assist with daily physical tasks. The role will be part-time, requiring around 2 hours of work in the morning and an hour in the evening. This role is facilitated through the Direct Funding program, so it is not a 'cash' job as it is funded through the government. I have a affectionate Lab mix who does shed and can be vocal at times, so a comfort with pets is essential. The hourly wage is $24/25, with an added $4 per shift to compensate for travel. Vacation pay will also be included in each paycheck. While no specific prior experience is required for this role, any previous caregiving experience would be viewed favorably. Ideally, I aim to hire a couple of individuals and divide the shifts amongst them and also someone for 'on call' incase someone is sick. Because of this, please still message if you are not available for all of the days as I'll need different coverage for multiple different shifts. Key responsibilities would be dressing and grooming assistance, light housekeeping duties, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, running errands, assisting with pet care, vacuuming, and bathing assistance. I am hoping to hold interviews in the coming couple of weeks and hire someone by the end of the month.
Salary $25/hour
