We are in search of a thoughtful, caring and compassionate caregiver for our mother, who is a senior citizen. This is a full-time live-in position with an expected work schedule of Monday to Friday, from 6:30PM to 6:30AM. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, and bathing. Offering companionship and engaging in conversation. Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and vacuuming. You will also assist with meal planning, preparation, and cooking, and should be adept at cooking a variety of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will plan and engage in activities during the day such as painting, colouring, playing cards, baking, and going for walks. Furthermore, the role involves accompanying our mother to medical appointments, planning visits, outings, and trips to visit the local community of neighbours, friends, and family. While a driver's license is not an absolute necessity, being able to make use of your own car in these instances would be helpful. The ideal individual should possess a solid understanding of eldercare, as well as possess notable experience providing care for the elderly. Communication in fluent English and eligibility to work within Canada are also necessary. This role will begin in June 2026, and the location is near 142 Street NW and Stony Plain Road. The compensation will be $3000/mth with accomodation provided.
