We are looking for a compassionate and reliable live-in care provider to support an elder in her own home in Duncan, BC. Position Details: • Schedule: Mondays daytime and overnight Tuesdays daytime • Compensation: $25/hr daytime hours for 3 months - then $28/hr daytime and $150/12 hour sleeping flat rate • Coverage: WCB, statutory holiday pay, and sick days (per BC Labour Standards) • Accommodation: Comfortable room and board provided while on shift - extra training in new research based approaches to Dementia care. Responsibilities include: • Providing all aspects of personal care support • Light household care as needed • Offering calm and supportive emotional care throughout the weekend Requirements: • Strong command of spoken English (client is hard of hearing and requires clear communication) • Mental health education or experience is an asset • Ability to manage self-care, client care, and emotional support with skill and calm presence • Must have a reliable vehicle to reach the home - female care providers only
