I am seeking a capable and experienced caretaker for a senior living with dementia in Duncan BC. Your responsibility will include assisting with various tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, meal planning and preparation, vacuuming, and providing crucial Alzheimer/Dementia care. It would be beneficial if you have prior experience working with dementia. Besides these tasks, you'll be expected to assist with walking and supervise the home to ensure safety. You'll also need to give bathing assistance when required and track the appropriate medication dosages and timings. With the nature of this role, personal care tasks are involved, and you need to be comfortable providing this support. The vital aspect is the ability to communicate fluently in Punjabi as it would greatly aid in managing the day-to-day operations and understanding her needs. This position is part-time and live-out, with the work schedule spread across five days a week. Specifically, you'll be required to assist during the mornings and middle of the day from Monday to Friday. Anticipate an average of 20 to 30 working hours per week.
