We are looking for a caregiver or caregivers, either live-in or live-out for our father. Ultimately, we would be most comfortable with 24-hour care provided by one or more caregivers. Jack is a very social man and is completely mentally competent. He wishes to remain in his home instead of moving to a long-term care facility. The job will entail general housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, ensuring daily medication is taken, supervising Jack when he uses a walker and assists him in getting in and out of a chair or bed. In addition, the position requires grocery shopping and other errands, and ostomy care, if necessary, although for the most part he can take care of that himself. We are looking for caregivers who can communicate effectively with Jack, the family, and other caregivers. They must have access to a vehicle to fulfill the needs of the job. We are looking for caregivers with references and a willingness to complete a criminal record check.
