Looking for part-time personal support PSW for every other weekend Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5pm to 11pm for a 26-year-old quadriplegic male in downtown Hamilton. Tasks include feeding, operating hoists, transfers, assistance with personal care, and housekeeping. Physical strength is required due to patient's weight (125 lbs) to reposition patient. Work Days are Saturday and Sunday evenings every other weekend. Ideally you have good command of the English language, reading and writing and are young and energetic. Young PSW preferred for companionship. Previous experience in quad/paraplegic care, managing incontinence is beneficial. Must have PSW certificate Ideal candidates are patient, compassionate, strong and open to learning. Appreciate your interest in this role.

There is no physical work required just visits to my mother who is extremely friendly, likes to talk and perhaps take her to activities within the home, but no driving or lifting or anything like that is involved. She’s in a wheelchair so she doesn’t need assistance walking. This job is only 4 to 6 hours per week, perhaps more when two of the other caregivers are on vacation. However, the schedule is very flexible.

I am looking for a compassionate and reliable caregiver to provide part-time home care for my 85-year-old father, who has recently been discharged from hospital after a five-week stay. This is a live-out position and would suit someone with senior care experience, especially in dialysis and diabetes support. The role is mainly needed on dialysis days, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with care required in the middle of the day on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. His transportation to and from the hospital is already arranged. We need someone to be at the house when he returns home, assist him with walking and getting up the stairs safely, and help him settle in comfortably. Duties will include warming up meals, checking his glucose levels before eating, and giving insulin if needed based on the readings. Additional support may include bathing assistance, dressing and grooming help, range of motion exercises, and general mobility assistance. Light housekeeping is also appreciated, such as washing dishes, cleaning the small kitchen, giving the bathroom a quick clean, and light vacuuming. We are looking for someone patient, attentive, and confident working with an elderly male who is adjusting to being back home. Experience with dialysis, diabetes, and stroke recovery would be highly valued. A driver’s licence is not required, and no automobile use is needed. Preferred start date is 31.08.2026. This is a part-time home care for an elderly male position with less than 20 hours per week.

Housecleaning small apartment - dusting, vacuuming, floor washing, bathroom cleaning, laundry (change bedding and wash bedding, towels, personal clothing). I'm looking for companion care for my husband living with vascular and Lewy Body Dementia. Despite his conditions, he can use the toilet on his own but needs cognitive prompts for routine tasks. He struggles with short-term memory and has cognitive abilities similar to a three-year-old. He enjoys simple activities like puzzles and sticker books, music, and short walks which help him stay active. The ideal companion should be polite, soft spoken, patient and slow-paced to maintain a comforting environment and allow him to operate at his own speed. We have one Tonkinese feline called MooShu. He is a six year old pure bred neutered male. The Tonkinese is a Canadian purebred from Burmese and Siamese lines. MooShu is smart but calm.
