Duties and Responsibilities * Provide companionship and emotional support in a respectful and caring manner. * Supervise and monitor the client's safety due to memory loss and dementia-related cognitive impairment. * Assist with establishing and maintaining daily routines and schedules. * Provide reminders for medications, meals, hydration, and appointments. * Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks. * Accompany the client to medical appointments, walks, errands, and community activities as required. * Engage the client in conversation and meaningful activities to support cognitive stimulation and social interaction. * Assist with organizing personal belongings, calendars, and reminders to help manage daily activities. * Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, meal clean-up, and maintaining a safe and tidy living environment. * Observe and report changes in the client's cognitive condition, behaviour, or overall well-being to the employer or designated family members. * Ensure a safe home environment by helping prevent wandering, confusion, and other dementia-related safety risks.
