I am an enthusiastic and energetic recent graduate from the University of Manitoba. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art History with a minor in Studio Fine Arts and History. My long term goals include eventually returning back to school and becoming an Art Teacher. I grew up in a large family as the oldest of six children and so I have quite a bit of experience with children from the newborn stage onwards. I enjoy working with children, it brings me a lot of satisfaction knowing that I can be part of the "village" that helps a child feel safe, supported and achieve the full potential they have in the world. Beyond my experience growing up with small siblings, I've also worked as a babysitter for various private families for 12+ years. This included caring for children as young as a couple weeks old to early teens. I often try to create interactive activities that allow children to learn developmental skills and reduce screen time usage. I worked as a part-time caregiver for a woman with disabilities and her two young children (6 months and 4 years). Some of my tasks included ensuring that the children were changed, cleaned, fed and had various safe activities to do throughout the day. I also undertook various household tasks such as laundry, meal prep and cleaning. I also have childcare experience working as an instructor and lifeguard for various pools around Winnipeg. I would create customized lesson plans for children and adults. I love what I do, I love the chance to work with new people and help make a family's life easier.
