Isabella H.
My name is Isabella. I graduated in June of 2024, earning my English diploma. I also completed every grade level of family studies, where I learned how to care for children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities such as mobility issues, ADHD, autism, various mental health issues, language disorders, epilepsy, Down syndrome, and learning disabilities. Additionally, I have taken psychology and law courses in preparation for attending university next year to study criminal justice and eventually practice law as a prosecutor for the province. My goal is to make a difference in my career path, as I believe our legal system can be improved. I have a pet rabbit named Romeo, whom I received as a gift for my 14th birthday. I enjoy taking him out to play in the yard when the weather is nice. I also have fun walking my neighbor's dog once or twice a week. I used to be a ballerina for about 9 years before I had to quit due to an injury, but I hope to get back into it in the near future. I have two brothers, one older and one who is 12 years old. I used to be part of a choir and love to sing in my free time. I am an extremely family-oriented girl.
I have consistently worked for two different families: one with a special needs child and another with 3 girls and 1 boy. Despite the difference in the number of children, my routine remained similar for both families. I always made sure that the children were well-fed, taking into account any dietary restrictions, and prepared delicious and nutritious meals. I planned fun activities to keep the children entertained, ensured that homework was completed, put the children to bed at the desired time set by the parents, and tidied up any mess that was present before or during my time with the children. At the end of the day, my goal is to build a relationship with the children I care for so that they do not view me as just another babysitter or nanny. I aim to create an atmosphere where it feels like they are spending time with a friend or family member, while still maintaining rules and boundaries.
