Miriam I.
I'm Miriam, but you can call me Miri. I am an energetic college student based in Winnipeg with a year of experience working with children. My active and creative personality is reflected by my love for soccer, dancing, singing, and arts such as painting and drawing. However, my ultimate passion lies in caring for children and encouraging their creative expression. Even though I am open to any part-time nanny, babysitter or mother's helper role, I prefer a live-out arrangement. I am available for work starting from the 12th of June, 2024. My weekly schedule incorporates mornings on Monday, mid-day to evenings from Tuesday to Thursday, and mid-day on Friday and Saturday. Through my experience, I have effectively cared for newborns up to children aged 9 years. My skills enable me to manage up to three children at a time while ensuring a safe and engaging environment for them. Duties I am comfortable performing include, but are not limited to, cooking and preparing meals for kids, doing children's and family laundry, light housekeeping, assisting with homework, and maintaining a tidy kitchen. My education includes First Aid Training, CPR Training, and a High School diploma. While I offer various skills for children's care and housekeeping, it's important to note that I am not trained to work with children with disabilities. I look forward to providing a loving and fun atmosphere while ensuring the necessary care and comfort for your children.
With a formal background in childcare services and proven successful volunteering at NEED's Centre, as well as experience in different fields from community service back in Uganda, I am a person who has always had an interest in working with children, volunteering to babysit, and taking care of children. I believe my skills and background make me an excellent fit for the position of a Nanny. I would love to meet with you to share more about my previous experience.
