Sabrina H.
My name is Sabrina and caring for children has been an important part of my life for many years. I have hands-on experience looking after my nieces and nephews, beginning from when they were newborns all the way through their teenage years. This experience gave me a strong foundation in understanding the different stages of childhood—from the patience and attentiveness needed with infants, to the creativity and guidance required with older children. In addition to family-based care, I also completed an internship through my Child and Youth Care college program. During that time, I worked in a Catholic school with a 3rd grade class, where I supported students academically and socially. That opportunity taught me the importance of structure, consistency, and creating a positive environment where children feel both safe and encouraged. On a personal note, I do not have a husband or children of my own, which allows me the flexibility and commitment to focus fully on the families I support. I come from a close-knit family, which has instilled in me values of patience, responsibility, and compassion—qualities I bring into my caregiving approach every day. Outside of work, I enjoy hobbies that also blend well with childcare, such as listening to music, outdoor activities, and cooking.
I have extensive childcare experience, having cared for my nieces and nephews from infancy through their teenage years. In addition, as part of my Child and Youth Care college program, I completed an internship at a Catholic school where I worked closely with 3rd grade students, supporting both their academic and developmental needs.
