Hi there! My name is Chase! I am looking for a part time babysitting job where I would take care of one or two children a few nights or afternoons each week. I am an undergraduate student at McGill university in my fourth year, pursuing a degree in Anthropology, and I moved here from Toronto in 2022. What I love most about childcare is the opportunity to strengthen the imagination and creativity of children through play, arts and crafts, and improv and theatre games. I also have two 12-year old twins sisters who I have taken care since they were very young. I always look forward to going home to see them and pursue art projects, have dance parties and teach them how to cook and bake. I also enjoy helping them with their homework, and being there to support them through challenging moments. I find I get a lot of satisfaction from working hard to be a stable and reliable individual in their lives, someone they can always count on for support. I have a background in theatre, where I was involved in at least two plays a year, and I have volunteered at a theatre camp three years in a row, where I took care of a group of kids and helped run fun and interactive games and arts and crafts. In terms of my hobbies and interests, I am very passionate about cooking and baking. I love making both creative and nutritious meals for those in my life that I love. Nothing makes me happier than putting smile on someone's face through food! My main language for communication is English, but I am also looking to improve my French. All in all, I would describe myself as a fun-loving, warm and focused individual with a lot of initiative towards supportive and meaningful care! I have a lot of experience with children, from being an older sister of two 12-year-old twin girls who I'd take care of at least once a week and from babysitting around the neighbourhood where I grew up in Toronto. I believe I gained so much from having younger siblings, especially the patience I learnt! I love finding ways to engage with kids to brighten their creativity and curiosity. I always have some sort of ongoing art project with my little sisters. I also love reading, and I think it is such a great habit to instill at an early age.
