My name is Vanessa and I’m 25 years old. I’m a recent graduate from the University of Toronto and currently preparing for the LSATs with plans to attend Law School in the future. I’ve always loved spending time with kids and have been babysitting since the age of 13. Over the years, I’ve cared for children of different ages and personalities, and I truly enjoy creating a safe, fun, and positive environment for them to learn and grow in. In addition to childcare, I’m happy to help with tutoring in elementary subjects such as English, Science, Math, History, or French. I love incorporating creativity and curiosity into my time with kids — whether that’s through reading stories, doing arts and crafts, painting, colouring, or even making learning feel like play. Outside of babysitting, I enjoy reading, playing or watching sports, listening to music, and watching movies or TV shows. I’d describe myself as patient, energetic, and caring — someone who can keep kids entertained while also being dependable and responsible. I have been babysitting for 12 years. I first began babysitting at 13 years old. I've taken care of children of all ages from as young as 1 year old to 12 years old. I help with tasks such as getting them ready for school, picking them up from school, planning interactive activities, playing games, helping them do their homework and study, bring them and pick them up from after school activities/sports, and on special occasions have a fun Friday night eating pizza and watching movies with them. All depends on what the parents prefer/need. Besides babysitting, I have also done three summers as a camp counselor where I was responsible for a group of children between the ages of 5 and 12.
