Autumn R.
My name is Autumn, and I’m currently completing a comprehensive doula training program, which includes certification in Pregnancy and Birth Doula support, Postpartum Doula care, Fertility Doula services, and Infant and Pregnancy Loss Support. I am also working toward certifications in lactation, food safety, and infant first aid/CPR. I am a caring, reliable, and organized childcare provider from Canada with extensive experience supporting children and families. I have worked with children of many ages, from infants to teenagers, in both home and school settings. My childcare experience began at a young age through babysitting, and I later gained professional experience as an Educational Assistant at a private school. In that role, I supported students with diverse learning needs, including autism, ADHD, ADD, Down syndrome, and Asperger’s syndrome. I also helped coordinate an after-school program, leading crafts, games, homework support, and activities for primary and elementary students. I later worked as a Head School Secretary, where I continued supporting students, parents, and staff in a busy school environment. Most recently, I lived in Ireland and worked as a nanny for children aged 1 to 15. My responsibilities included feeding, bathing, dressing, diaper changes, potty training, cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, driving, school and activity drop-offs and pickups, errands, pet care, home organization, and helping manage each family’s daily schedule. I would describe myself as nurturing, patient, responsible, empathetic, and dependable. I enjoy creating calm, structured, and positive environments where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged. As the eldest of five children, I naturally developed strong caregiving skills from a young age, and I take pride in being someone families can trust. I am also completing a full-spectrum doula course, which has deepened my interest in infant care, postpartum support, maternal wellbeing, and early childhood development. In the future, I hope to continue working with families and potentially pursue further education in midwifery. Outside of work, I enjoy baking, music, Pilates, figure skating, hockey, snowboarding, swimming, hiking, fishing, scuba diving, art, and trying new activities. I am active, creative, and always open to learning new things. I am currently in Canada for the summer and working as a medical receptionist at The Boardwalk Medical Centre in Waterloo during the week. I am available for early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends. I have a car and a valid G driver’s licence.
