Born and raised within a multicultural Canadian Romanian backdrop, I am a lively person who relishes dancing, reading, fashion, and cooking. Furthermore, I have a profound love for minors and their wellbeing—a natural relationship that has been a significant aspect of my life from my early days, being the oldest among my 6 cousins of varying ages from newborn to 17. I have virtually grown up, acquiring skills to relate with kids from different stages and ages. Middle and high school was a season of consistent babysitting for me, and this equipped with the real and practical experience of handling kids' activities, ranging from bedtime routines, meal prep, to children's homework and ensuring that they are entertained for hours. I have also participated in on-foot school pick-ups, and so I take on responsibilities without close monitoring from parents. I'm enthusiastic about babysitting as every child is unique in their own way, and it is rewarding to help them feel secure and thrilled around me. With regards to children's age range, I am comfortable with all—including soothing newborns, entertaining toddlers, taking care of school-age kids and connecting with teenagers. An additional unique selling point about me is that I am currently a Psychology major at the University of Waterloo and training to become a professional psychotherapist. This means that I fully understand how children think, feel, and grow, and I am especially sensitive to children who may require an extra level of patience, emotional support, or a caregiver who can respond to their emotions with calm and a lot of care. I am open to learning about any specific needs a family might have so that I can prepare beforehand and provide the best help to both the parents and their kids. I am called Lylah, a 20-year-old residing in Waterloo, and have spent about eight years in active service. I can conveniently begin immediately with my schedule being flexible enough to accommodate work throughout the week, both during the day and in the evenings. My professional training includes First Aid Training, CPR Training, and being a Bachelor's Degree holder. I'm on the lookout for part-time Babysitter position. My duty list covers a wide range from cooking, light housekeeping, meal preps for children, children's laundry, assisting with homework, adhering to special dietary routines, keeping the kitchen in order, pet care, organizing and planning events, and cleaning the entire house. I am also well experienced with children aged between 1-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-9 years, over ten years and newborns.
