Hailey C.
My name is Hailey Grace, and I’m a responsible and energetic university student at Wilfrid Laurier University, turning 20 this October. I grew up playing a wide range of sports—including hockey, baseball, gymnastics, cheer, and dance—which has made me active, disciplined, and great at keeping up with kids of all energy levels. I live at home with my family, which has helped shape my strong values around responsibility, respect, and care for others. I truly love being around children and have a natural ability to connect with them in a fun, patient, and supportive way. I enjoy going on walks, playing games, and keeping kids engaged with activities, while also making sure they feel safe and cared for. I’m very organized and take pride in helping around the house—whether it’s cleaning, doing laundry, dishes, or keeping things tidy—so parents can feel at ease. I’m reliable, positive, and attentive, and I always aim to create a happy, structured, and nurturing environment for the children I care for as someone who has worked with all ages of children, in different settings, different roles, etc.
I have several years of experience working in childcare as a babysitter, where I cared for children ranging from ages 1 to 10. I have always had a huge soft spot for children and genuinely love working with them, taking care of them makes me feel fulfilled, and spending time with them truly warms my heart. Creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment is something I deeply value. In this role, I managed daily routines such as preparing meals, assisting with bathroom needs, and ensuring proper hygiene. I also have experience with full-day care, including morning routines, playtime, and bedtime, helping children get ready for the day, keeping them engaged through fun and active play, and settling them down comfortably for sleep. I planned and supervised activities like outdoor play, games, and creative tasks to keep children active and happy. In addition to babysitting, I have experience coaching children and leading camps, where I guided groups through structured activities like gymnastics. Through this, I helped build children’s confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills. These experiences have strengthened my communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Overall, I take pride in balancing responsibility with fun, while always prioritizing the happiness, safety, and development of the children in my care.
