I'm Jacqueline, a Vancouver-raised adventurer who loves fitness, fun, and inspiring kids to learn and grow. I am currently studying Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo and have a strong interest in fitness and nutrition, which allows me to encourage healthy habits in children. I come from a big family and have often cared for my younger cousins, which has helped me develop patience, responsibility, and a nurturing attitude. I enjoy creative activities like building with LEGO, arts and crafts, and playing badminton, and I love finding fun, engaging ways to support children’s learning and development. I also enjoy snowboarding, even though I’m not an expert, I love the challenge and adventure it brings. I am dependable, attentive, and enjoy fostering a positive, safe, and stimulating environment for kids. I am bilingual in Mandarin and English, which allows me to support children in developing language skills. I also enjoy organizing activities, helping with homework, and encouraging children’s independence, confidence, and healthy habits.

Private Childcare – Waterloo Child: 1 child, 5 years old Responsibilities: Provided one-on-one care, engaged in educational and recreational activities, supported language and social development, and ensured a safe and nurturing environment. Achievements: Received positive feedback from the parent for reliability, attentiveness, and creating a comfortable environment. After-School Care Volunteer – Burnaby Children: Small groups of elementary-aged children Responsibilities: Assisted with arts and crafts, reading, and other activities; supported learning and social engagement. Tutor – Burnaby Children: Elementary school students (about 10 students with 2 tutors) Responsibilities: Delivered individualized tutoring sessions, developed creative learning strategies, and encouraged confidence and patience in learning. Youth Leadership Mentor – Burnaby Children: Groups of youth participants Responsibilities: Guided and inspired children through activities, fostered teamwork and leadership skills, and supported personal development. Additionally, I often care for my younger cousins, supporting their development and encouraging bilingual skills in both Mandarin and English.
