My name is Fayez (it’s pronounced like fries without the R), and I have a Master’s degree in Social Work with a focus on Family and Children from the University of Gothenburg. I am an experienced babysitter based in Waterloo, Ontario. I also work part-time in the mornings in Guelph as an adult educator, so I have flexibility with service location. I have several years of experience working with children both with and without special needs, across a variety of environments. This includes babysitting and child-minding in both personal and professional capacities. I have also taught children in different settings, both independently as a tutor and in group sessions, including group home environments. I grew up in Canada from the age of three and have worked in a range of child-care roles both in Canada and overseas. I hold an undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo and speak intermediate-level Urdu/Hindi if needed. I have always really enjoyed working with kids and am looking to build on my experience as I plan to pursue an online ECE program next year. I hold current First Aid and CPR-C certification, as well as a food handling safety certificate. I also have a G licence and a safe, reliable vehicle. As a person, I’m very easy-going and aim to create a fun, engaging experience for kids. I play a lot of sports, have a wide range of interests, and enjoy learning new things, so I tend to connect well with many different personality types. My nephews also make sure I’m endlessly informed of every current meme, so I’m fairly up to date. I’m also quite certain I’ve seen every Bluey episode multiple times at this point. To ensure consistency, my availability is primarily afternoons and evenings (starting at 3 p.m.) to overnights and anytime on weekends. I understand these hours may be difficult to match, so I’m looking casually to see if there’s a good fit. I’m happy to answer any additional questions as needed.

I have extensive childcare and youth-care experience across Canada and internationally, including roles in Kitchener, ON; Göteborg, Sweden; and Lisbon, Portugal. As a Youth Care Worker at Fundação Du Gil Foster Home in Lisbon, I cared for 1–6 children at a time (ages 1–12), supporting daily routines such as meal preparation, diapering, homework help, bedtime routines, and recreational activities, while also supporting children with medical needs and developmental delays. In Göteborg, Sweden, I worked at Stiftelsen Gyllenkroken, a shelter and community centre, where I supported groups of 5–15 children and seniors, planned educational and creative activities, and provided emotional care and supervision. I have a Master's in Social Work specializing in Family and Children and also have extensive personal babysitting experience to go with my professional experience.
