My name is Gabrielle, I am 18 years old and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s double degree in Social Development Studies and Social Work. My parents are divorced and have 5 children together, a family of which I am the eldest. I have always been passionate about caring for children and youth, ensuring that their needs are met both emotionally and physically, as my childhood was quite stressful in terms of family life. In addition to my experiences in childcare, I also have a Specialist High Skills Major highschool diploma in Sports Leadership and Health Promotion, which provided me with my CPR/First Aid Training as well as experience in the fields of health, wellness and leadership. I have taken courses in parenting, human growth and development, leadership and human nutrition. I am excited for more opportunities to broaden my experience in the field and make and impact on the lives of more kids!

I have worked as a Summer Camp Counselor, a YMCA Assistant ECE for co-op in my last year of high school, a Peer Mentor, as well as a Peer Tutor. I have taken courses in human nutrition, human growth and development, and parenting. In addition, I have firsthand experience caring for children from the ages of 2-12, as well as experience from being mentored by registered ECEs at the YMCA. I enjoy working with kids and I would describe myself as a patient and compassionate caretaker who is passionate about the field of childcare.
