I'm a 19 year old university student who is super passionate about working with children! I have experience working with children and teens across a wide range of ages and abilities, and have been working with children in many environments for the past 6 years. I currently am in my second year at the University of Waterloo in the Social Development Studies program, and intend to become a child and youth social worker in the future! I love the outdoors and going on adventures whenever I can, and I really believe in the importance of putting yourself out there and trying new things. - Casual babysitting for the past 6 years with children aged 3-11 - Summer camp counselor for the City of Guelph during 2024 for ages 4-12. Planned and implemented daily activities, as well as improvised new activities based on the weather and camper's preferences. - Behavioural Lead for the City of Guelph summer camps in 2025 for ages 4-12. I had the same responsibilities as a camp counselor in addition to working with children with exceptionalities, and children who struggled with behavioural issues. During this time I received training in personal care and non-violent crisis intervention. - Completed a short term placement in a kindergarten class through a child care course in school - Experience working with teens with learning disabilities through a placement in a highschool.
