Dhruv S.
Coming from an immigrant family that established their roots in Canada in the year 2000, I stand proud as a first-generation Canadian. I first took a breath of Canadian air when I was born in the vibrant city of Toronto in the year 2003. From then onwards, I spent my formative years growing and learning right here, in the diverse, multicultural ambiance that is Canada. Having been nurtured in this setting, I was fortunate to avail quality education that shaped my intellect and personality. Throughout my life, I have devoted significant time and effort in pursuing my academic goals and I'm proud to say that I have successfully earned a Bachelors Degree in Honours Health Sciences. Firmly grounded in Canada, my diverse background has shaped my personality and mindset, making me compassionate, hardworking, and adaptable, capable of adjusting to any given circumstance. One of the things that I am deeply passionate about is childcare. This strong passion of mine is not just an abstract emotion, but a dedication that I have been nurturing with my significant experience working closely with children from various age groups. I find immense satisfaction in creating and fostering a nurturing, safe, and engaging space where children can thrive and unfold their potential. Aside from my experience and special inclination towards childcare, I am quite a devoted hobbyist with interests that align perfectly well with my profession. I absolutely love indulging in creative activities like arts and crafts. Additionally, reading books has always been a hobby close to my heart because the joy that a good tale brings is unparalleled. Finally, engaging in outdoor games adds a sprinkle of fun and adventure to life, especially for children who need such playful means to develop their skills and invoke a sense of creativity within. Being the compassionate human being that I am, I strongly believe in promoting values of inclusivity and diversity. I am of the firm belief that these values are the cornerstones for creating a supportive and positive environment conducive to the overall development of children. My own attributes of being reliable, patient and an excellent communicator add to my ability to nurture and guide children effectively. I'm proud of how I can attune myself to the specific needs of each individual child, while simultaneously maintaining a structured and fun atmosphere that enables their creativity to blossom. As I look ahead, I'm filled with excitement at the prospect of contributing my skills, passion and energy to create meaningful and engaging experiences for the children entrusted to my care.
I have an extensive background in childcare and nurturing which is gained through both personal and professional opportunities. I have worked as a babysitter for several families, caring for children ranging from infants to pre-teens. My responsibilities included preparing meals, organizing educational and recreational activities, assisting with homework, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. I also volunteered at a local community center, where I helped supervise children's programs, including arts and crafts sessions and outdoor activities.
I studied Health Sciences at the Wilfrid Laurier Unviersity within Waterloo
