Ciara H.
I am currently a first-year student studying at the prestigious University of Waterloo and am seeking opportunities to earn some extra income on the side. As a student, I am well versed in managing multiple commitments and am confident in my ability to balance this potential job with my existing academic responsibilities. One of the main reasons I'm drawn to the prospect of earning this additional income through a part-time job involving kids is because I have always had a natural affinity for children. I have been told that my patience and understanding nature put children at ease and make me someone they can easily connect with and turn to when they need help. Academically, I have always had a strong footing in math and reading. These subjects have been a personal favourite of mine since my school days, mainly due to my ability to understand complex concepts and explain them in a simple, understandable manner. I truly enjoy being able to help others grasp these subjects and find it incredibly rewarding when the students have their 'aha' moment. In this job, I would love the opportunity to assist the kids with their homework. Not only would this involve helping them understand the solution to a problem, but also instilling in them, the skill of problem-solving. I hope that my guidance can bring about an improvement in their academic capabilities and make their learning journey enjoyable and enriching. So, it would be a great pleasure for me, as a first-year university student, looking for some extra source of income, to combine my love for kids and the subjects of math and reading to help children in their academic journey. I am excited at the prospect of potentially making a difference in their learning experience while I juggle my university life.
While I don't have much previous experience with babysitting, I am very good with kids and very patient.
