I am a recent UVic graduate. I received my degree in English and will be eventually going into teaching. Children have always been a big part of my life as I grew up taking care of many of my younger siblings and cousins. I took my personal experience and began babysitting and nannying into my high school and university years. I am well versed in literature and history, but still enjoy doing creative activities such as make believe, crafts and music. I have 3-4 years of babysitting and full time nannying experiences. Prior to those I volunteered at summer day camps and day cares. I’ve worked with babies as young as 2 months and children up to 14 years of age. I have taken Baby-sitting CPR courses, and I am currently volunteering at a local elementary kindergarten class for volunteer hours to use towards my secondary teaching program and have gone through the process of getting my criminal background checked and cleared. In Victoria I have worked with two families the past two years, the first family had a 5 month baby who was my primary focus and his older 2 year old sister.
