I’m Maia! I am currently seeking opportunities to work with families in Victoria, as I have worked in childcare for 8 years and have loved it. I am a student at the University of Victoria, where I am pursuing a degree in history. I was raised in Edmonton and moved to BC earlier this year to work as a camp counsellor and later attend school. My favourite part of working in childcare is it allows me to use my creativity to find the best ways to connect with each child I work with. I believe every child is very unique and I love learning from them, just as they do from me! I am adjustable in my approach to childcare and understand that every family has different lifestyles, schedules, and needs. I am very willing to be accommodating in order to provide the best care that I can. I have worked with children that have disabilities and can adjust to any additional support that may be required. I have extensive experience with all age groups, and am familiar with the various needs that come with every stage of development. I personally love reading, art, and being outside. Some of my favourite things to do with the kids is reading to them or making crafts together. I also love playing games! I have had my vulnerable sector background check done multiple times, as required in certain childcare positions I have taken on. I also am certified in CPR and First Aid. I have worked with children since 2018. I have been consistently babysitting since that time, and have provided care for groups of up to 9 children ranging in age from newborns to 16 year olds. This position has entailed facilitating activities tailored to each group, preparing meals, housework tasks, assisting with homework, conflict resolution and problem solving, picking up/dropping off children at school, and following any other instructions received by guardians. I have also worked as a camp counsellor for the last two summers (2024 & 2025). This position meant 24/7 supervision of children for a week at a time, for groups of approximately 30 children ranging from 6-16 years old. In this position I delivered instructions for programming, facilitated activities specifically suitable for different groups, communicated relevant information to guardians, helped to maintain the site, and ensured all children were safe and happy for their time at the camp. In January - June 2025, I volunteered as an in-school mentor at a school for children with learning disabilities. I would meet with a child for one hour a week and help with schoolwork, do activities, and engage in meaningful conversations together. Throughout this time I would frequently communicate with school staff to ensure the process was beneficial and discuss where support was most needed.

My name is Cinthya, and I am a deeply experienced, loving, and dependable nanny and house manager with over 18 years of hands-on childcare experience. Originally from Peru, I began my journey as an early childhood teacher assistant, working with children aged 1 to 5. Since then, I’ve cared for infants, toddlers, school-aged children, and teenagers in a variety of settings across the USA and Canada, always offering personalized care with heart, structure, and intention. I have a strong background in supporting children’s emotional development, validating their feelings, and nurturing their fine and gross motor skills through creative play, crafts, games, and sensory activities. I also teach Spanish in a playful, engaging way—something I’ve seen children really enjoy and benefit from! My approach is a balance of calm, kindness, structure, and initiative. I offer families more than just childcare: I’m here to make your life easier and more joyful. Whether it's helping with school pick-ups, preparing balanced snacks, organizing extracurricular activities, supporting homework, or managing household needs (groceries, laundry, errands, travel prep, and more), I take care of the details so you can focus on enjoying your time as a family. I am a gentle, proactive, trustworthy, and full of love extra set of hands. Once I learn a home’s rhythm and routine, I naturally take the initiative to keep things running smoothly. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and have specialized experience supporting children with special needs, anxiety, and diverse family backgrounds. In my free time, I practice hot yoga, enjoy nature walks, do crafts, read and listening podcasts. I truly love being part of a child’s development and helping them grow in confidence, curiosity, and joy. I look forward to meeting your family and discovering how I can support your unique needs. I have 18 years of experience working with newborns, infants, children, and youth.

I am a British nanny and babysitter who moved to the island in 2023 with my husband and three children, aged 15, 11 and 5. I have been working in childcare since 2013 and started my own business, Jane's Sitting Service in 2015 and again in 2023 when we emigrated to the island. I have lots of experience with children of all ages, including working with many neurodivergent families, from autism and adhd to global development delay and sensory processing disorder. My own children are also neurodivergent, so the experience continues within my home too. As a caregiver, I absolutely love what I do... the best thing about working with children is that every day is different and you get to see the world through their eyes, which is pretty unique, sometimes a little crazy but always lots of fun. As a nanny, I am very outgoing, have lots of energy and I love to be out and about exploring. I am kind, caring, trustworthy and patient. I try to adjust to each families individual needs and understand that all children are unique and as a care giver, you need to be adaptable. I also focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment with my business moto of 'play, learn and grow together'. As a mum of three, I understand how busy and overwhelming life can feel, juggling childcare, a job, a house and everything else that goes with the day to day tasks of being a parent, and I would love to be that extra pair of hands to support that routine and make some of those day to tasks more manageable. If your family is in need of a nanny, babysitter or mothers help, and you feel i may be a good fit for you, please do reach out or add yourself to my page and we can chat further. I have availability Monday to Friday and try to be as flexible as possible, with my ideal hours being 9-2 (although i am happy to offer longer hours if I am able to collect my daughter from school and bring her to work with me, but I appreciate this isn't for everyone). I am looking for a minimum of 10 hours per week, but have availability for up to 25+ hours as a nanny/nanny share role or mothers help. I am also ideally looking for work in the Langford, Colwood, Royal bay area but have my own vehicle so am happy to commute for the right family. I am first aid and CPR trained (renewal 31st March 2027) and am willing to get a criminal record check should this be required. I have a level 3 qualification from the the uk in working with children and young people, which is similar to an ECE here and past experience of working in a daycare setting, before starting my own business. I also volunteer as a soccer coach at Gorge, working with the under 6s and can provide lots of references. Worked as a nanny and babysitter for the last 10 plus years

I like to be called Bia (like a nickname). My family is my life. But I also love to dedicate myself to various activities. I love running, hiking, and dancing. I also love listening to music, puzzles, painting, and arts in general. And when I'm at the playground with the kids, I usually play with them, do monkey bars, slides, and have fun together. My name is Bianca, and I'm a mom of two adorable children who are now in school (Grade 1 and Grade 4). I've learned a lot about caregiving as a mother and aunt. I quit my job to care for my children full-time. We read a lot together and do manu activities that help with motor coordination, including daily activities (like cooking small meals, appropriate for each child's age). Since arriving in Canada, I've worked as a caregiver, providing respectful and compassionate care. I'm CPR+First Aid certified. I also have a Class 5 driver's license and my own vehicle.

I'm Melody, a 33-year-old Victoria-based nanny with two years of professional childcare experience, and an emphasis on health and balance. Additionally, as a yoga therapist, wellness instructor, and dual language English/Spanish translator, I bring a unique skill set to the job. I love interacting with kids, aiding their growth, and attending to their necessities. I'm available during mornings and nights, with additional time midday and evenings on Tuesdays, and ready for a part-time, live-out role. I've cared for kids aged newborn to 5 years and can handle up to two at once. Along with looking after children, I can conduct light housekeeping, errand-running, grocery shopping, and meal prep to suit dietary needs. I also keep the kitchen clean and offer child-transportation. Rest assured, I hold both First Aid and CPR certifications, for optimal child safety, and I'm ready to be a nanny, babysitter, or mother's helper as required. I can't wait to bring a positive, balanced, and healthful ambiance to your kids' lives! I have worked as a nanny for about 2 years, with great references in Victoria available upon request.
