I am a friendly, caring and active person who enjoys spending time with children and helping them feel comfortable, confident and included. I grew up playing competitive sports and later competed in soccer at both the collegiate and semi-professional levels, which helped me become disciplined, patient and dependable. I enjoy being outdoors, staying active, trying new activities and creating fun experiences for others. I would describe myself as positive, organized and easy to communicate with. I am comfortable taking initiative but I also understand the importance of respecting each family’s routines, values and parenting style. I enjoy getting to know each child’s individual personality and interests, whether that means playing sports, doing crafts, reading, going outside or simply spending time together. I am also comfortable around animals and would be happy working with a family that has pets.

I have several years of experience working with children through coaching, sports camps and community programs. At Team Up World, a nonprofit organization that helps underprivileged children access sports opportunities, I worked as a coach and event coordinator. I supervised children during camps and activities, explained games and skills in an encouraging way, helped manage group routines and made sure each child felt safe, included and supported. I also communicated with parents, volunteers and other staff to keep programs organized and running smoothly. My experience has taught me how to be patient, dependable and adaptable because every child has a different personality, comfort level and way of learning. As a former collegiate soccer player, I especially enjoy planning active games, outdoor activities and age appropriate sports. I am also comfortable helping with meals, tidying play areas and maintaining a consistent daily routine. I hold CPR and First Aid certification (may need to renew), have a Class 5 driver’s licence and would bring a caring, energetic and responsible approach to supporting a family.
