I am an outgoing 22 year old college student. I am studying science and going into a career in dental hygiene. I have been passionate about caring for children since before I could talk, and I am often described as a "baby whisperer" by friends and family. I am a creative, patient, caring, nurturing and active person. I love practicing yoga, and I work out often. I enjoy going for walks in nature, spending time at the beach and being outdoors. I have been babysitting for friends, family and neighbours since I was 12. I am comfortable caring for one or two children at a time and I have experience with a variety of ages. I have extensive experience with newborns and infants but I feel confident in caring for children up to age 11. Although not certified yet, I currently feel confident in providing CPR in an emergency situation. I am planning to do my CPR/First-Aid certification in the coming weeks. For older children, I prefer to keep screen time to the bare minimum (if any). Of course, I will follow any rules you set out as the parents! Ensuring that I foster a creative, play-focused environment for your children is very important to me. With this, I enjoy creating and planning engaging activities such as outdoor games/walks, collages, jewelry making, colouring, painting, etc. I also love teaching new skills, such as giving casual guitar lessons or crocheting! I am happy to help with light housekeeping, laundry, school pickup, groceries, homework and meal preparation. I am a very strong cook, and I am confident in adhering to any dietary restrictions. Having a gluten allergy myself, I would be extremely confident in caring for a child who is celiac or gluten-free. My rate is $24.00/hour for one child and $30/hour for two. With over 10 years of experience as a nanny, I am a reliable and caring caregiver for children of all ages. I am available throughout the week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs.
