Brook T.
My name is Brook, a highly experienced nanny who also works remotely as a Marketing Executive for an international company and Travel Content Creator (all of which I love!). I am looking to be an occasional nanny or tutor for your family because I miss being around kids. I do travel often for my other jobs, so this would definitely be occasional and something we would plan together as we look at the weeks ahead to see what would work for both of us. Before my current work experiences, I was also a teacher! I hold a Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary School teaching with a specialty in young students who have special needs. I also have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. I am a reliable and capable young woman who would love to be your nanny! About Me: I am a very friendly and energetic person who enjoys teaching young ones about the beauty and interesting subjects this world has to offer. Furthermore, I possess the patience and leadership qualities required to take good care of your children. I have gained insight into many new cultures while traveling to over 40 countries and living internationally for three years. In the winters, I have experience leaving Canada for a short time to volunteer in Mexico at an orphanage, where I am a caregiver for children of all ages. One of my biggest passions in life is traveling to experience places I've never been before and, most importantly, to meet those who inhabit the land I'm visiting. I often take my camera along with me as photography is a hobby I practice often. As a result of this, I turned that hobby into a business and also work as a freelance content creator. Living a healthy lifestyle is also important to me. I play most sports and exercise regularly, but basketball, in particular, is most preferable to me. Not only do I find joy in playing this sport, but I also find joy in coaching it as well. Moreover, I have taught various Girls' Clubs at my church throughout the years. Working well with children has always come naturally to me, which has encouraged me to go into the teaching profession. Nanny Experience: One of my past jobs consisted of nannying a set of twins with special needs, including FAS, Autism, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, and personality disorders. This experience is one of my most cherished memories because ultimately, the children and I taught each other. As I taught the children many life skills, they taught me how to be continually patient and kind, regardless of any stressful situation. While attending university in Calgary, my first nanny family consisted of two little girls aged 7 and 2. We had so much fun! Another awesome family I worked with was from 2018-2021, where I worked Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the occasional weekend and evening. Their precious baby girl (who quickly became my little best friend) was 14 months old when I began. By the end of my time spent with this family, the mom had her second baby, and I helped out with their newborn as well. My most recent nanny experience was with two high-energy, adorable little girls aged 2 and 4. I started working with them and their amazing family to provide COVID relief while both parents worked. While teaching a Special Ed Grade 5 class in Calgary, I tutored a wonderful 10-year-old on the side to help her with her English lessons. After all of this, I moved to the UK to teach abroad for a few years before securing a position working in Marketing. Availability: I am looking for occasional work and open to hearing your needs and schedule. Due to my other work being fully remote, I am able to set my schedule and open to making times work with your family. I am a go-getter who likes to keep busy and work hard. I am asking for $40/hr due to my immense experience in childcare, my certification as a teacher with a specialization in working with individuals with special needs, as well as my experience working with children internationally. I also have a current criminal record check with a vulnerable sector search completed and CPR training. I can be flexible, so please contact me, and we can work something out. Your children would be in the best care! Why I Want To Be A Nanny: I want to become a nanny because I know I possess the qualifying characteristics one needs to properly take on this important role of child care. With my immense experience in working with children, I am confident in my ability to make my time as a nanny the most wonderful experience for both me and the children. I look forward to hearing from you.
With 15 years of experience in caregiving, I am excited to offer my services as a part-time nanny. I am a responsible and reliable individual with a passion for working with children. I have a flexible availability throughout the week, including weekends, and I am able to travel for work. I have a valid driver's license and my own vehicle, making me able to transport children as needed. My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree and certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Special Needs Education. I am comfortable working with children of all ages, including those with disabilities. I am a non-smoker, can swim well, and am willing to undergo a police check. I am looking for a live-out position where I can assist with tasks such as cooking, light housekeeping, and helping with homework. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children in my care while also providing support to the entire family.
