I was born and raised in Victoria and come from a family that values community. I live with my fiancé and pet bird, and I like to spend my time being active when I’m not working or taking care of the house. I have always been fond of children, and have enjoyed being a part of my nieces’ and nephews’ lives as the fun aunt that is ready to get involved in which ever activity/play time idea they come up with. I particularly enjoy cultivating a sense of curiosity and adventure. However, just like with adults, I think it’s important to listen and get to know children’s personalities and preferences/dislikes to learn how best to create a safe and happy environment for them to thrive in. I’m also a huge animal lover and I enjoy getting to have the company of any and all animals, and would love to take care of any pets you may have.

I have had several nieces and nephews that I’ve babysat over the years. In addition, I’m also a teacher for a kids’ exercise class once a week. My approach to kids is to appreciate the spirit of each child as they are, and to learn about them to engage in activities they find interesting and to encourage that curiosity. I think outdoor play is important, weather permitting, and learning to play indoors with the imagination is also required. I also really enjoy spending time with animals, so if anyone has any pets I wouldn’t mind also caring for them, including taking dogs on walks (even better if we can get the kids out in a walk too!)
