I am a fourth year UVic student. I am taking English and eventually going into teaching. Children have always been a big part of my life as I grew up taking care of many of my younger siblings and cousins. I am well versed in literature and history, but still enjoy doing creative activities such as make believe, crafts and music.

I have 3-4 years of babysitting and full time nannying experiences. Prior to those I volunteered at summer day camps and day cares. I’ve worked with babies as young as 2 months and children up to 14 years of age. I have taken Baby-sitting CPR courses, and I am currently volunteering at a local elementary kindergarten class for volunteer hours to use towards my secondary teaching program and have gone through the process of getting my criminal background checked and cleared. In Victoria I have worked with two families the past two years, the first family had a 5 month baby who was my primary focus and his older 2 year old sister. I would take the children out for walks, clean, and make dinner while the parents worked. The second family was more casual in the summer, giving the kids lunch and taking them outside to play, occasionally having to stay inside due to the heat and finding crafts
