My name is Emma and I’m 19 years old currently in university. I have been a competitive swimmer for almost 11 years now. I am currently enrolled in a child and youth program at the university of Victoria, but I’m from Brantford Ontario. It has been a passion of mine ever since I was little to work with children. I have been working with children ever since I was 12. I started off babysitting neighbors, siblings, family friends and cousins. I then got into volunteering with my swim team, then continued to coach with the team up until this year. I also did a co-op in a daycare with children ages 1-3. I also spent time during covid lockdown being a nanny for a friend of the families daughter for a few months. I also worked at a few swimming schools as a manager and instructor for 2 years. During my time I have experienced working with children with disabilities. In June- August of this summer I was a babysitter for two children aged 4 and 2. I have experience working with children with asthma as the two children both have asthma. I am a very creative person and love to use my imagination with the kids. I’m patient with them and love to work with them on problem solving and developing skills.
