Pamela S.
I am a dedicated babysitter and tutor with over four years of hands-on experience in childcare. I take a thoughtful and engaging approach to working with children, focusing on creating a safe, structured, and positive environment where they can learn, grow, and feel supported. I aim to balance educational activities with creative play, making each day both meaningful and enjoyable. I am fluent in English, Arabic, and French, and I enjoy incorporating language development into daily interactions when appropriate. I am comfortable assisting with homework, organizing activities, and maintaining routines that support a child’s development and well-being. I also hold First Aid and CPR certification, which allows me to respond confidently in emergency situations. As the eldest in my family, I have developed strong organizational skills and a natural sense of responsibility. In addition to childcare, I am happy to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, children’s laundry, and general household organization. I am also comfortable around pets. I am available for part-time, live-out positions from Monday to Sunday, with flexibility across mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I am experienced in caring for up to three children at a time, ranging from newborns to 9 years old. I am a non-smoker, hold a valid driver’s license, and have access to a vehicle, allowing for reliable transportation. I also have a valid work permit and a clean police record check. Please note: I am unable to relocate or travel, and I am not currently able to provide care for children with special needs.
I have several years of babysitting experience caring for children of various ages and needs. I regularly looked after a family with three children aged 10, 7, and 2. My responsibilities included preparing meals and snacks, assisting with homework (including support in French when needed), organizing creative and outdoor activities, supervising playtime, and maintaining a safe, positive environment. I also supported evening routines, including bathing and reading before bedtime. In addition, I cared for a one-year-old child for another family. In this role, I was responsible for feeding, diaper changes, nap routines, and engaging in age-appropriate play. I also took him to the park for outdoor time and handled light household tasks such as tidying toys, washing dishes, and maintaining a clean space during nap times. Through these experiences, I have developed strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a patient and attentive approach. I take pride in creating a supportive and engaging environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
