My name is Zaki, and I am 20 years old. I’ve always valued helping others and making those around me feel supported and happy. My family is from The Philippines, and we arrived in Canada on August of 2023. For over two years, I’ve been involved with Christ Almighty Baptist Church, where I discovered my passion for nurturing children’s growth—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I enjoy building connections, encouraging others, and helping those in need. Music is another passion of mine; I play several instruments and currently lead our church youth choir. Friends describe me as dedicated and passionate, and I strive to bring that energy to everything I do. I’m excited to contribute my skills and care to positively impact the lives of children.

I have over 200 hours of experience working with children in various capacities, primarily through volunteer roles at my church. I regularly teach Sunday School and assist with a Saturday morning children’s program at Christ Almighty Baptist Church, providing supervision and engaging educational activities for children aged 4–12. In addition to my weekly involvement, I have served as Director for four major children’s events, each drawing 80–100 attendees. These experiences have strengthened my skills in leadership, organization, and child engagement. I also bring years of personal childcare experience from caring for my two younger siblings, with 5- and 9-year age gaps, which has developed my patience, adaptability, and understanding of children’s developmental needs.
