Tammy V.
My name is Tammy and I am 22 years old! I recently graduated this year from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Studies, and I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Education through the York University & TMU joint program—I'll be graduating in 2026! Working with children is truly my passion. I love communicating with children and creating engaging, safe, and nurturing environments where they can grow, explore, and just be themselves. I bring a wide range of experience, from working in daycares, Montessori settings, and before-and-after school programs, to completing multiple placements as part of my university studies. These experiences have taught me how to connect with children of all ages and support their development in fun, creative ways. Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time at the beach, going skiing, hiking, shopping, hanging out with my friends and family, and of course, playing with my dog, Rio! He’s a big part of my life and has helped me develop even more patience and care—especially on long walks. I am an energetic, caring, positive, and reliable person who's always excited to learn and grow. I am not afraid of challenges or setbacks. I am really looking forward to meeting your family and becoming a fun, supportive part of your child’s day-to-day life!
I have worked in several childcare settings as an Early Childhood Assistant (ECA), supporting children's development through engaging activities, care, and supervision. - Vaughan Kids Daycare: I was an ECA assisting the ECE in the classroom. My responsibilities included planning and supporting daily activities, diaper changing, cleaning. Something I enjoyed most was communicating with children to support their social and emotional development. - Simply Smart Montessori & Childcare: I supported children with Montessori-based learning and activities. I helped ECE’s maintain a clean, organized classroom environment and provided individual attention to children as needed. - Fun on the Run (Before and After School Program): I worked with kindergarten to grade 2 children at a two separate school locations in the morning and afternoon. My responsibilities included preparing and serving snacks, planning age-appropriate activities, and fostering positive communication and interactions with the children. - Elementary School Placement (Junior/Senior Kindergarten Classroom) – Throughout my undergraduate, I completed many placements at elementary schools where I designed and led activities that supported developmental milestones. I also worked closely with children and educators to promote learning through play and structured routines!
