Emily V.
I am a first-generation Canadian in my family, where my parents are from Russia and Ukraine. I have two younger siblings and three pets. I am currently studying Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, but I am willing to continue to come in every year around my breaks. Furthermore, I am studying with the goal of becoming a veterinarian and need veterinary experiences, so I will be looking for volunteer opportunities. However, these opportunities should not take more than a day or two out of the week. I am a very energetic person who has enjoyed working with many different children over the years. I have a bright personality and get along very well with younger children. I am very responsible and organized. Despite my young age, I have spent a significant amount of time working with children. I enjoy reading, watching TV, going out for walks while listening to music. Some of my favorite TV genres are Disney, so I will definitely have fun taking care of your kids and ensuring that they have a fun time themselves. If you have pets, I am more than willing to take care of them, as I enjoy the company of animals just as much as that of children. I have my full driver's license and have access to a car most of the time. I will do my utmost to ensure that your child is not only well cared for but also has fun and enjoys their time in their youth. I love children and would love to engage in fun activities with them and take care of them, especially during my winter break, which starts on December 13th and ends on January 6th, and during my summer break, which starts on April 21st and ends on August 30th. I aspire to become a veterinarian, so I kindly ask for one or two days to go into the clinic to volunteer.
I have been a children's gymnastics coach for 4 years at York Stars. I would care for around 8 children at a time, teach them, and make sure each child was comfortable and well cared for. Furthermore, I also worked as a summer camp counselor and had to run crafts and take up to 28 children to the park at once with a few other counselors. I was also a birthday party coordinator, where I made sure children had fun and supervised lots of activities. All of these experiences come from my time at York Stars.
