I’m Mary Jean, but I prefer to be called Jean. I am the eldest of three siblings and was raised by my family, who possess high religious values and morality. I gained the courage to live with the fear of God. I am married and have one child. I am a Practical Nursing graduate and have also taken a Caregiver course to gain additional knowledge in taking care of children. I have also undergone training in Basic Life Support with AED and hold a standard First Aid certificate. I love spending time with children because they are full of amazing energy and bring me joy. I am passionate about children because there is so much to learn from them, such as how to enjoy the simple things in life. I have been working with children for the past eight years, ranging from newborns to 16-year-olds. I enjoy getting to know them and their individual personalities, as well as watching them grow and learn. I have worked with children in Hong Kong and in Canada, and have a passion for working with children that I cannot ignore. Children are my favorite to be around, as there is never a dull moment with them. I am enthusiastic, trustworthy, responsible, and a very easy-going person with a great sense of humor. I had one employer in Hong Kong and one here in Canada. Here are my overall responsibilities: 1. Supervising and taking care of the kids 2. Cooking, preparing, and serving nutritious meals, packing lunch for school 3. Bathing, dressing, and giving hygiene instruction 4. Taking children to parks and playgrounds 5. Assisting with child's homework 6. Light housekeeping and laundry.
