Leah B.
In my previous Nanny positions, I enjoyed a 2. 5 year term as a full time/live in/out Nanny for two wonderful boys who were ages 2 & 7. In addition, I served as a full time nanny for 2 years for a lovely family with a 2 year old son. My most recent position as a Nanny allowed me to care for 3 girls ages 0-6. It was during my time with this family that I discovered my passion for baby care as a mother’s helper. These were all equally rewarding and beneficial learning experiences, in addition to my child care experience in the field of Child & Youth Work. I have gained experience in working with children of a variety of ages (0- 12 years) in a variety of settings, and I enjoy planning activities and outings that are both fun and educational. Some of my favourite children’s activities involve outdoors activities, music, arts/crafts and baking. I really enjoy bringing a sense of humour, positivity and fun to each and every interaction that I have with children. Some characteristics I value most are helpfulness and patience. I enjoy searching for the teachable moments in day to day interactions that allow me to positively mentor and make a difference in children’s lives. I understand fully the importance of the role of a care provider to be supportive, nurturing and considerate of each child's individual needs. I am comfortable and skilled in assisting families with a range of needs from childcare to household duties and errands. I look forward to assisting a wonderful new family and helping to making a difference.
