Sasha F.
My name is Sasha, I am a 21 year old female Canadian with a purpose to bring joy back to life by aligning values with passion. I enjoy laughing, travelling, yoga, snowboarding, making homemade food from scratch, photography/art. For me, experiential learning and connection with people, culture and landscape are key foundations of a meaningful life. I take a wholistic approach to life where spirituality, organic local food, and adventure all compliment each other. I am grounded, responsible, respectful and enjoy being out in nature, writing, board games, and bike rides. I am a storyteller at the core whether it is through my words, art, photography. I am a highly sensitive person, which is a character trait that combines a deep compassion, an intuitive approach, and attention to detail to life while including a more extroverted adventurous side. Education: I have completed 2 courses from my first college experience of Hospitality and Hotel - accounting and hotel management, however I did not feel it was my calling and worked as a waitress and travelled to build upon my diverse experience. I returned to college for a full term for Art and Design, however noticed my greatest learning came from practical experience, so I did not continue. I put my focus to a self education approach to start my own abstract art business and learned how to snowboard at the same time - both compliment each learning. My certifications: Background Check Full G Drivers Lisence First Aid/CPR - Babysitting Certification - Menard Online Safety Course & Birdie Break Babysitting Platform Enrolment Course 200h Yoga Teacher Training - Aegialis School of Yoga - Amorgos, Greece CSIA Level 2 Ski Instructor - YES Improvement - Whistler, Canada Alongside my babysitting experience and working with kids in sports, I have leadership experience through waitressing, retail, and road trip/abroad travel planning. My Purpose To Help: I want to contribute to a child's joy of life. Growing up I recall how my babysitters made me feel - when I got to lead the adventure while having someone who was interested in going or learning too. My fondest memory was eating strawberries - like a picnic - at the jungle gym, it was so simple, but I didn't get to eat strawberries that often and not at a park usually - so it was really exciting. In part to that, being a highly sensitive person I know how necessary being heard, valued, and respected for how routines and experiences occur. I bring my own experience to how I value the connection and outcome - ensuring it is positive, compassionate, and encourage learning through mistakes. I honor getting to support and cultivate the joy of the simple and prominent facet of childhood - nature interaction, creativity, imagination time, and sport.
I babysat my mother's friend's 2 kids between 5-8 years old, where I spent the day playing with them outside - hide and seek and making up a games. I babysat for another family of 5 kids between 3-12 years old- bouncing between games outside, helped with outfit change, snack prep, reading aloud - my goal was to structure excitement with calm to keep some balance. I also did a 2 week au pair in Italy for 3 kids between 10 and 15 and 19 - going for walk/hike, park, playing boardgames, meal prep, and teaching English. I was a volunteer soccer coach assistant - putting together drills, making sure everyone felt included, took part in the drills, helped with set up/tare down.
