Alejandra E.
I’m Alejandra, a bilingual (English/Spanish) caregiver and nanny based in Downtown Vancouver with a background in Biomedical Engineering from Monterrey, Mexico. I come from a close-knit family and grew up as the “go-to” cousin caring for the little ones. I’ve taught catechism to children, served as a Teacher’s Assistant for ages 6–12 (planning learning-through-play activities and keeping a calm classroom), and today I support three wonderful children with disabilities (5, 7, and 9) as a caregiver. These experiences shaped my patience, empathy, and ability to adapt to each child’s needs with positive discipline. I’m also comfortable with diaper changes and daily routines. Interests & hobbies Oxygen Yoga, meditation, reading self-help books, and spending time in nature. What families can expect Reliable, warm, and detail-oriented • Safety-first mindset • Clear, kind communication • Energetic and fast learner • Calm under pressure • Pet-friendly (comfortable with cats/dogs) • Light housekeeping and tidy play spaces • Support with simple meals/snacks and organized routines.
My name is Alejandra. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always had a special love for caring for children. At around 9 years old, I was already looking after my younger cousins, and I always found it easy to connect, play, and bring joy to them. Later, I gave catechism classes to small children, which helped me develop patience, creativity, and a natural way of guiding kids through learning and values. During high school, I went on mission trips where I also taught and cared for small groups of children, an experience that deeply shaped my love for teaching, guiding, and nurturing little ones. Here in Vancouver, I also worked as a Teacher’s Assistant for children ages 6–12 on 2024, where I planned activities together with the tutor and made sure the classroom remained calm and positive. I led games that supported learning, encouraged participation, and ensured the kids felt seen, safe, and included. Currently, I’m a caregiver, where I care for three children with disabilities (ages 5, 7, and 9). This has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I practice positive discipline, adapt to each child’s needs, and bring both energy and patience to every interaction. Being with kids genuinely makes me the happiest. I find so much joy in the little things, like their laughter, curiosity, and the way they see the world. ✨ What I bring as a nanny: Responsible, reliable, and very warm personality Positive discipline approach Fluent in English and Spanish Fast learner with high energy and lots of heart Deep care for creating calm, safe, and joyful environments For me, children deserve to feel loved, respected, and supported, and I take pride in being someone who can provide that space for them to grow.
