Gioia B.
I'm Gioia, a lively 25-year-old woman hailing from Italy, currently based in Vancouver, close to Grays Park. I'm recognised for my calm, empathic and kind personality and constant smile, alongside my diverse interests that span from rollerblading, reading and travelling, to exploring different art forms, particularly ceramic and canvas painting. Leveraging five years of rigorous professional experience in childcare, I'm experienced in looking after children from ages 1 to 10+ and can efficiently manage the constant energy of four or more children simultaneously. Moreover, my ability to cater to children's unique needs with patience and understanding is something I take great pride in. In terms of work schedules, I'm highly amenable and available for part-time roles during mid-day, evening, and night from Monday to Friday, and in the mornings on Saturdays. Should relocation or travel be necessary, I'm prepared and enthusiastic about this prospect. As a multitalented caregiver, I can comfortably transition between positions as a Nanny, Babysitter, Nanny/Tutor, Nanny/Housekeeper, or Mother's Helper, carrying out an array of responsibilities with efficiency. These include cooking, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, children's meal preparation, child transport, laundry, assisting with homework, overseeing dietary restrictions, maintaining household cleanliness, pet care, staff supervision, event planning, and house cleaning. As a testament to my commitment towards promoting child safety, I have completed First Aid Training and CPR Training. Additionally, I have earned a Bachelor's Degree, which equips me with a broad range of skills to offer. Proficient in both English and Italian, I bring a culturally enriched perspective to childcare. I'm excited at the possibility of being your chosen Nanny and look forward to preparing a nurturing and wholesome environment for your children. Let's connect and discuss how I can best serve your family!
The first experience I would like to talk about is my experience as an au pair in Australia. I had been an au pair in Australia for a year and a half and I absolutely loved it. I've always felt welcome in my host family and I felt like a member of the family as well. The three kids I was taking care of are 2, 5 and 10 years old. They are cheeky, funny and full of energy! I was a teacher assistant at school during the summer months while I was in Italy. Kids' age was between 3 and 6 years old and we were mostly spending the day reading, painting, smiling, running and drawing. I did approximately 100 hours. I joined the animators' team in a primary school summer camp once. We organized some activities like dodgeball and treasure hunt. The kids were between 6 and 11 years old. Another beautiful experience I would like to write down is the 'science teacher' one. I did an internship for three months in a Nursery school. My task was to organize science experiments suitable for kids. We created snow, clouds, slime and also coloured foam. The kids really liked it! I'm keen on introducing the world of science in my host family as well if you'd like. I also worked in a dairy farm in summer and used to do 'Cheese laboratory' with kids ( they were different ages between 5 and 12) and we were making cheese from milk. They had so much fun! I also did tutoring for a couple of years, I was helping teenagers with their homework in science, history, English, and Italian. I worked as a babysitter as well.
