Tshering Wangmo D.
I hold a degree in History and English and have extensive experience in childcare. I have had the privilege of caring for children, including those with autism and physical disabilities, providing them with compassionate support and fostering a nurturing environment for their growth and well-being.
At just 15, I found myself stepping into the role of a caregiver for my two younger brothers when our parents had to work. It wasn’t easy, but I gave them everything I could—guidance, love, and support—until they were old enough to take care of themselves. Once they grew up, I followed my dream of getting a degree, but my love for children never left me. After graduating and starting a job, I also pursued childcare training because working with kids has always brought me joy. At 22, my aunt moved to Australia, and I found myself caring for her three daughters. She wouldn't trust them with anyone else but me, which meant so much to me. For 9 months, they were like my own, and I poured my heart into looking after them until they reunited with their mom. These experiences have shaped who I am today—someone who deeply values nurturing and helping children grow because it’s not just something I do, it’s a part of who I am.
