Hello. I am a child and youth care practitioner who is eager to assist with child care. I am graduating from George Brown College (april 2018), and have gained new skills and knowledge while in this program. I have completed two years of experience within a school setting, and have baby sat previously to this program. Currently I am working retail in a baby clothing store. I am patient, kind and hard working. I find it easy to build connections with young children and enjoy spending time with them and ensuring their emotional and physical safety. I have two years of experience within a school setting. I have worked with children with various care needs including behavioural, academic and special needs. I implemented programming to build social skills and teamwork for children aged 6 to 10. I attended field trips and provided adequate supervision. I’ve worked one on one and within small groups. I have an amazing rapport with all of the children I work with. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I am cpr and first aid trained. I have done suicide safetalk training and UMAB (understanding and managing aggressive behaviour).

I have just completed my child and youth care program at George Brown College. I have taken courses that explain child development and other important courses pertaining to care of a child. Part of my course was two years of placement that required professionalism and allowed students to experience work experience.
