My name is Rossie pronounced Rosie, I am a university student who is currently majoring in sociology with a desired focus towards ECE and child social work. I have an estimated 5/6 years in childcare from ranging forms such as babysitting, nannying, tutoring, volunteer work and being a swimming instructor/ coach. I am able to arrange schedules and adhere to plans and structures previously set by parents as I understand organization is key when taking care of children. I am able to do house work as well and provide additional services such as organizational prep of schedules. I have a desire to work with children while off classes full-time if possible ( could work longterm contracts as well) as I see my experience with childcare as an essential aspect to my personal longterm career goals. ( I also love children and infants as I have spent a vast majority of my life learning and seeking ways to involve myself in childcare.) I have maintained a 4.0 GPA average in both high school as well as university as I am a hardworking driven person with ambitions that fuel me to work harder. I come from a very large multilingual family which has made me bilingual in Spanish and proficient in French.

I began my childcare experience timeline at 13 years old seriously and I am now currently 21. I am currently going into my fourth year and I am studying Sociology in hopes to find a longterm career in ECE, or child social work. I decided to aim for a BA in sociology as childcare has been an integral aspect of who I am due to my profound want to understand and patience for children from all walks of life. I have done three years now of full-time nannying with a set arranged schedule as the children's parents were going back to work post COVID-19 regulations changing. -I have prior experience baby sitting and taking care of children in both morning and night (over night babysitting included ) - I have taken care of infants and am familiar with the aspects of safely caring for infants as young as 3 months old. (This was one of the age groups I nannied for recently) - I have years of Experience working with children from kindergarten to grade 8 as a tutor and after school babysitter. In the timeframe of working with elementary and grade school children I have, - helped older and younger kids complete homework, school projects and chores. - Accompanied children on outings to approved locations as well as after-school activities. - supported children's emotional and social development by adapting communication tactics for differing client needs. - actively listened to parent directions and follow guidelines for all aspects of children’s care with children with ranging physical and mental disabilities as well as disorders such as ADHD. - I have experience working as a swimming instructor and coach for Jack of Sports which meant I have to create lesson plans as well has hold leadership roles for both the children and other coaches. - I ran private and open lessons to children from 4 months old to 15 years old which required my full attention at all times to maintain high degrees of water safety. -I will happily discuss more on any of these experiences of childcare and work if there are any further inquires or anything of that sort wanted to optimize your comfort in my childcare abilities.
