My name is Dameli, English name Emily. I am 19 years old, a student at McMaster Univesity, pursuing a degree in Materials Science and Engineering & Society. I am ethnically Kazakh, I speak Russian (fluent speaking, writing and listening skills), Kazakh (strong communication skills), and I am fluent and perfectly comfortable with English as well. I have four siblings, three of whom are significantly younger than me and I was always responsible for them, their safety and well-being, their out-of-class education as well as completing daily household chores like cleaning, cooking, laundry. My interests include outdoor activities and sports (yoga, weight training, hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, volleyball are the main ones), drawing, playing the guitar, and reading. I am a genuinely responsible and open-minded person. I am very patient with children and I value quality time spend on educative and fun activities. Also, I have CPR training, I am comfortable with pets, and I have a flexible schedule.

I don't have professional experience with childcare work but I have 3 younger siblings who are 12, 15 and 17 years younger than me and I was always given full trust with them for the full day especially after breastfeeding age. I am very patient with children and I am able to handle any sort of crisis that can potentially arise.
