My name is Lucy. I am a culinary management graduate of George Brown College. I am 29 years old and have been working in the hospitality industry for over ten years. I have several years experience working with children of all ages, adults and the elderly. After graduating high school I embarked upon a nine month volunteer program, Katimavik. Through Katimavik I had volunteer placements in schools, nursing homes, soup kitchens, billeting with local families and much more. It was through these experiences that I discovered my love of cooking. After graduating culinary school I have worked in several different kitchen settings including fine dining restaurants, bakeries, pubs, as well as catering events and weddings. Along with cooking and working with children as a full time nanny this past year I have also taken on a few house keeping jobs. I take great pride in cleaning and organizing with special attention to details. I am friendly, compassionate, hospitable and very hard working. I approach every experience with an open mind and a willingness to learn. I am happy to provide references upon request. I look forward to hearing from you.
I have been a nanny for a family with a 3 year old girl for the past year and a half. I began babysitting at a very young age. I have experience with infants and children as well as pre-teens. I chose to do my high school co-op program at an elementary school where I worked in a classroom of grade 3 students. I particularly enjoyed working one on one with the students who struggled in reading, writing and math. I enjoyed encouraging them to see their own potential.
