Living in *Hamilton* not North York. Caring for children is not just a job for me, it’s my passion. I have been a babysitter since 2011 and an educator for about 6 years. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment in which children can thrive, develop and grow. Wherever I work, I promise to be a dedicated and trusted caregiver who will ensure the physical, emotional and intellectual wellbeing of children under my care, while also supporting their family’s routines and preferences. In 2011, I started babysitting my cousins’ children who were ages 4, 10 and 12. I carefully followed the parents’ instructions regarding schedules and discipline. I also taught the children how to draw, prepared snacks and watched movies with them until their parents returned in the evenings. I continued to babysit whenever I was needed until I was hired by a daycare in 2022. In 2022, I was in charge of supervising toddlers in a day care on the weekends. I set up a routine schedule for a class of about 7-10 toddlers, who needed supervision from morning until evening. I prepared snacks, while the kitchen staff provided lunch and dinner. Between meals, the toddlers participated in reading, activities, games, dancing, and exercises. I also implemented nap time in the afternoon and movie time in the evening. During the day, I also cleaned the children’s area and sometimes allowed older children to assist. In 2023, I gained more experience as a babysitter, when I was hired to care for and tutor two boys aged 4 and 10. I was responsible for feeding them, helping them with their homework and keeping them on a routine schedule while their mother was outside. Based on my experience babysitting children at home and in a day care setting, I believe I am a great candidate to be a babysitter/nanny. I promise to create an empathetic and engaging environment, and am willing to help with supervision, homework, activities, meal prep, housework and transportation.
