Juliana M.
I'm Juliana—the kids I've cared for have always called me Juju! I'm Brazilian, have been living in Canada for four years, and I'm a calm, patient, and reliable caregiver. What I love most about working with children is seeing how they experience the world—their curiosity and energy make every day different. I grew up caring for my younger brother from infancy and have always been the oldest cousin, so looking after kids comes naturally to me. My friends joke that I'm the "mom of the group"! What I bring to your family: -Strong communication and respect for your family's routines, values, and traditions -Experience with diverse cultural backgrounds and household styles -Comfortable with dietary restrictions, food allergies, and specialized meal prep -Confident driver—happy to handle school runs, activities, appointments -Animal lover (I have a dog named Luffy, so pets are always welcome!) In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading with my book club, and spending time with my dog. I'm flexible, easygoing, and genuinely care about creating a safe, positive environment for your children. I'd love to meet your family and see if we're a good fit!
I have over two years of full-time childcare experience as a live-in au pair in the United States, working with two different families. In my first family, I cared for two children (9 months and 6 years old). In my second family, I was responsible for three children (ages 2, 10, and 12). My daily responsibilities included school drop-offs and pick-ups, meal preparation, bath time, homework support, and planning age-appropriate activities at home and outside. I am very comfortable caring for multiple children at once and supporting structured routines. As part of my au pair program, I completed formal childcare training and basic CPR. In addition to my au pair experience, I have worked as a babysitter with children of various ages in both the U.S. and Brazil. I also have experience working in a children’s activity space, assisting with supervision, group activities, and birthday events. I have experience working with families from different cultural backgrounds and am respectful of household values, traditions, and routines. I am fluent in English and Portuguese, hold a valid driver’s license, and am confident preparing meals for children. I describe myself as calm, organized, and creative. Additionally, I have hands-on experience caring for my younger brother, who is 11 years younger than me, and have been involved in his care since infancy. Families I’ve worked with consistently highlight my reliability, strong bond with the children, and the trust they feel knowing their kids are in a safe and attentive environment.
