Claire S.
I’m Claire! I have over four years of experience working with children in school, home, and healthcare settings. I grew up in a tight-knit family between BC and the UK, where we had an au pair who became like family—we’re still close today. That early experience showed me how meaningful and lasting caregiver relationships can be. Since then, I’ve worked as a nanny during my university summers and have formed similarly strong bonds with the families I’ve supported. I’ve been living in Toronto for almost a year and currently work as a Special Needs Assistant in a Learning Disabilities classroom with the TDSB, supporting students in Grades 4–6 with academics, behaviour, and emotional regulation. I’m working toward becoming a primary school teacher and hold a BSc in Life Sciences. I work closely in my current job with children with ADHD, ASD, ODD, and a range of other learning and developmental disabilities. I regularly support students 1:1 with reading, writing, and math, and I’m more than happy to help with homework or summer learning as part of my care! I grew up in a super active family, so outside of work I spend the bulk of my time outdoors or being active myself—I love swimming, cycling, and have recently taken up running. I enjoy sharing that energy with kids through outdoor play and fun, structured activities. I also enjoy quieter moments reading, playing guitar, or spending time with family when I'm back home. I’m dependable, empathetic, and passionate about helping children feel confident, supported, and engaged. I’m available for summer nannying and would love to connect with a family looking for experienced, thoughtful care!
I have over four years of experience working with children in various capacities, and I’m currently a Special Needs Assistant (SNA) in a Learning Disabilities classroom with the TDSB, supporting students in Grades 4–6 with academic, social, and emotional needs. I previously worked as a nanny for two children under the age of 10, where I managed daily routines, outdoor play, meal prep, and structured indoor activities. I’ve also supported neurodivergent children and youth by assisting a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and through volunteering with patients at Holland Bloorview. I'm passionate about creating supportive, engaging environments for children- and I’m currently working toward becoming a primary teacher! I’m available for summer nannying and would love to connect with a family looking for dependable, experienced childcare.
