I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, specializing in Psycholinguistic studies. I am currently furthering my education at the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). There, I am part of the Master of Teaching Program, which has been instrumental in enhancing my teaching abilities to significantly impact students' learning. Being raised in Hong Kong before moving to Toronto in 2015 has allowed me to become fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am an enthusiastic pet lover, hence, rest assured that any pets in your home wouldn't pose a problem for me. During my leisure time, I enjoy crocheting, reading, and watching sitcoms — Modern Family is my all-time favorite. Now, allow me to share how I can contribute to your child’s academic development. Here’s what I can offer: I provide focused one-on-one support in literacy, including both reading and writing. I firmly believe in the importance of these skills and am eager to improve these fundamental pillars of learning. Additionally, I offer support in Mathematics, a subject that many students often find intimidating. My goal is to make it less daunting, even fun, with the use of educational games. Being well aware of each child's unique learning styles and pace, I design individualized programs to cater specifically to your child’s needs.
